This Privacy Policy explains how Minefront ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform at minefront.app ("Platform").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide to us
When you create an account or use the Platform, we may collect:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you register.
- Payment information: When you subscribe to a paid tier, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, expiry date, or CVC on our servers. We may receive and store a truncated card number (last four digits), card type, and billing address from Stripe for record-keeping purposes. - Alert preferences: The stocks you track, the alert configurations you create, and your preferred delivery channels (email, Telegram, in-app).
- Communications: Any messages you send to us via email or support channels.
1.2 Information we collect automatically
When you access the Platform, we may automatically collect:
- Usage data: Pages viewed, features used, buttons clicked, time spent on pages, and interactions with the MineMap and dashboard.
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
- Log data: Server logs including access times, referring URLs, and error logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 5 below.
1.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect:
- Your brokerage or trading account details.
- Your portfolio holdings or trading history.
- Any financial information beyond what is necessary to process subscription payments.
2. How we use your information
2.1 Providing the Platform
- Creating and managing your account.
- Delivering alerts to your chosen channels (email, Telegram, in-app feed).
- Displaying your tracked stocks, alert configurations, and dashboard preferences.
- Processing subscription payments and managing billing.
2.2 Improving the Platform
- Analysing usage patterns to improve the user experience.
- Identifying and fixing technical issues.
- Conducting internal research and analytics on Platform performance.
2.3 Communicating with you
- Sending transactional emails related to your account (account creation, password reset, subscription confirmation, payment receipts).
- Sending service notifications (maintenance, feature updates, changes to terms).
- Responding to your support enquiries.
2.4 Marketing
If you opt in, we may send you communications about new features, subscription offers, or content related to ASX mining. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at contact@minefront.app.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We may share your personal information with the following:
3.1 Service providers
We use third-party service providers to help operate the Platform. These providers only access your personal information to the extent necessary to perform services on our behalf. Our service providers include:
- Payment processing: Stripe processes subscription payments on our behalf.
- Email delivery: We use third-party email services to send transactional and marketing emails.
- Alert delivery: If you choose Telegram as a delivery channel, your Telegram user ID is used to deliver alerts via the Telegram Bot API.
- Hosting and infrastructure: The Platform is hosted on cloud infrastructure providers who may store data on servers located in Australia or overseas.
- Analytics: We may use analytics tools to understand Platform usage.
3.2 Legal requirements
We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
3.3 Business transfers
If Minefront is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
4. Data storage and security
4.1 Where we store your data
Your personal information is primarily stored on servers located in Australia. Some of our service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia.
4.2 How we protect your data
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL.
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest.
- Access controls limiting who can access personal information.
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure.
4.3 No guarantee
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.
4.4 Data breaches
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

6. Your rights

If any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, you can request that we correct it. You can update your account information directly through the Platform at any time.
6.3 Delete your information
You can request that we delete your personal information by contacting us at contact@minefront.app. Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
When you delete your account:
- Your account information, tracked stocks, alert configurations, and preferences will be permanently deleted.
- Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years in accordance with tax law requirements.
- Anonymised and aggregated data that does not identify you may be retained.
6.4 Withdraw consent for marketing
You can withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at contact@minefront.app.
6.5 Lodge a complaint
If you believe we have handled your personal information inappropriately, you can contact us at contact@minefront.app. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Data retention
- Account information: Retained until you delete your account.
- Usage and log data: Retained for up to 24 months, then anonymised or deleted.
- Payment records: Retained for up to 7 years in accordance with tax law.
- Support communications: Retained for up to 24 months after the most recent communication.
8. Third-party links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, including ASX announcement PDFs and government mining registries. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party websites.
9. Children
The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform and, where appropriate, by email. The updated policy will take effect from the date of publication.
